Just a few things...

A few updates:

  • I've only lost 1 lb in the last two weeks. On the positive side, I haven't gained any :P I have however, gone down another pant size. Can't afford to keep buying new clothes though, so hopefully the saggy jeans look will come in style :)

  • Kendall got a new job! He is now the IT administrator for Valley Wide Co-op (stores like Valley Wide Home & Ranch and Valley Wide Agronomics) He even has an office. I'm proud of my husband! He started last Friday and so far he loves it. He's had to drive to their offices in Rupert twice already, which makes for a lot of driving for him :( but he says it's not so bad. The best part about him having to travel is he has a company car that he can drive and a gas card, so no worrying about being reimbursed and all that. He also got an Iphone to use, but it wasn't getting reception in his office, so they switched him to a blackberry. His phone is constantly going off because people from the 8 different locations are always emailing him. One lady in Rupert has been waiting 4 months to be able to print on her printer in her office.

  • We're moving! We found this cute little house to rent, and it's a little bit cheaper. We are actually getting more square feet for less $ BUT it's only a 2 bedroom versus our 3 bedroom right now. We do like the house we're in, but we never know when they're going to sell it. The best part about the new house is it will be in our friend's Ward. We're totally psyched about actually knowing someone in our ward and feeling like we belong.
Finally... (I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but it's the first time I've ever heard it) I learned the coolest thing in my human biology class on Tuesday. We were talking about the different senses, specifically taste, and we talked about how there are the four 'tastes' that we have receptors for: sweet, sour, salty, and bitter. Well someone asked, well what about spicy? Our teacher told us that that is actually a response from our PAIN receptors. Wow, so when you eat spicy food, it's actually pain you are 'tasting' ... Once when Kendall gave his nephew Clyde a spicy dorito chip, Clyde responded "it tastes like burning!" . . . well I guess he was right.

Free flower vases

Over the last 2 1/2 years I have accumulated a vase or two... if you want one, please come and get one! I am tired of them taking up space in my house!

Baby thing?

Detailed picture

It was hard to get a good picture, but I made this over the last few months. It's like a wall hanging, with a dowel. Anyways I was thinking about sending it to my brother-in-law because they're expecting a little girl this summer. I'm going to find some cute fabric to sew and flip the project inside out so the seam and all the ugly wrong size stitching are hidden.

Bone Marrow Registry

http://www.marrow.org/JOIN/index.html

Okay so the thought of donating bone marrow.. is kind of freaky, but check this website out anyways. I registered a few months ago when Nascar was paying for it. Now they are doing a free drive again. They send you a simple swab kit in the mail. Please think about doing it!

I'm stuck

I don't have any pictures to post since we let our sitter borrow our camera for their trip this weekend... but I'M SO FRUSTRATED... about not losing any weight pretty much for the last two weeks. I'm still sticking to the diet.. .I have had a few desserts, but I've added to my work out, so I don't think that's it. I know that weight fluctuates and all that, but grr it still feels like a set back. I'm thinking about getting brave and going to one of the fitness classes on campus.. but I've been saying that for months.. it's just really intimidating for me to go work out in front of other people.. I got hart approved shorts a few months ago, but I still feel self-conscious so I think I'll get some pants.

Thanks to all the people who have seen me around and complimented on the weight I have been able to loss, it's really really really encouraging!

I don't know how this swing got out in the living room, but Mady kept insisting on getting in it even though she is way too big.

Mady's new favorite thing is to sit on the potty... who'd have thought? I seriously doubt she will be potty trained anytime soon, but she's started to tell us when she has a wet diaper by patting the front of her diaper, she knows when she's poo'd and has started taking her pants off. She also says 'potty' and goes right to the toilet. She is also dry after her naps. She also is extremely interested when I go to the bathroom. Too much information? Yes it probably is, but I've had a few people say it is way too early for potty training. What do you think? She isn't resistant to any of it, and seems quite excited about it.

Mady loves sitting in her chair!

This video is from today. I officially have a toddler who can get into literally everything. Crap. We did not show her how to do this, she masterminded this all on her own.

Mady has started 'talking' over the last three weeks. She seems to be picking up a new word each day. She now says:
Hi, bye bye, mommy, daddy, car, fan, bird, choo train, juice, potty, peepee, blankie, ducky, baby, shoes and phone.
